Derek Johnson is Vice President, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (SS&P), Media Networks, New Media & Technology, Marketing and Advertising, for The Walt Disney Company.  In this role, he is responsible for sourcing support for the Media Networks segment, which includes ESPN, the Disney ABC Television Group (DATG), the Cable Networks Group (CNG), and the Disney Interactive Media Group (DIMG).  Additionally, he is responsible for sourcing support related to the New Media & Technology and Marketing categories across the Walt Disney Company.  He joined Disney in September 2005.

Prior to joining Disney in 2005, Derek held leadership roles in new product development, finance, marketing, indirect and direct material sourcing, and supplier quality for General Motors and Saturn.  Derek was raised on a cattle ranch in southern Oregon, spent a year farming and building greenhouses in Libya, and served two years as a missionary in the Dominican Republic. 

Derek earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Brigham Young University, and his Masters of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Vanderbilt University.
