Michael Murray Manager of Marketing & Sales Southern California Minority Business Development Council, Inc.

He joined the Southern California Minority Business Development Council after a 4 year career as a member of the No.1 Industrial group in the nation for the Grubb & Ellis commercial real estate brokerage. Where he personally transacted, and assisted, in the acquisition, disposition, and leasing, of nearly 1,000,000 square feet of commercial real estate.

A graduate from the University of Southern California, he also attended USC’s Marshall Graduate School of Business where he was the youngest graduate in the history of the FastTrack Entrepreneurship program. 

Michael’s personal achievements have contributed to both his past and current success.  An All-American Track & Field Athlete, Michael was honored as Team Captain and was awarded “Most Outstanding Athlete”.  He proves to be an excellent leader with strong will, determination and discipline.

Michael draws upon his solid base of knowledge and experience while utilizing the full resources and capabilities of SCMBDC. He is program manager for the Council’s social media initiative as well as conducting various programs for the Council’s minority businesses and corporate members. 

Michael is a State of California licensed life & health insurance broker and is teamed with Joy Nery, director of marketing, to operate the Council’s very successful insurance program for minority owned businesses.

Michael is an active alumnus of USC and participates in civic and service groups in the Los Angeles area.
