Christian D. Ramos
Director of Information Technology
Southern California Minority Business Development Council, Inc.

Christian Ramos currently serves as SCMBDC's Director of Information Technology who has helped to bring SCMBDC's business operations into the 21st century. Since his start in October of 2002, Christian has been instrumental in integrating modern computing technology and practices into the council and has helped to streamline many of SCMBDCs manual and labor-intensive processes.

Christian's involvement in the council has helped SCMBDC to lead the way in new and innovative approaches to managing and communicating with its constituents. Ramos laid the foundation for the council's IT infrastructure, helping to redevelop both its web site and its minority business and corporate member database, as well as helping the council leverage technology in all aspects of its operations. He has also helped to develop the council's constituent management system, which has helped SCMBDC manage its Minority Business Database and provide business intelligence on its constituency.  With the help of online marketing and search engine optimization techniques, as well as taking advantage of new media outlets and online social networks, Ramos has brought SCMBDC a level of exposure it has not seen in its history.

In his spare time, Ramos also directs and manages his own technology management and consulting company, CDR Technology Solutions, Inc., to which his clients include several major banking institutions, a hotelier and one of the most highly respected hospitality consulting firms in the nation. He has also been engaged at the speaking capacity, having led several technology seminars for the National Minority Supplier Development Council.

Ramos’ computing and technology experience began at the tender age of 6 years old and his professional experiences began in his early high school days, starting out as a support specialist for both his high school and an Internet service provider in San Diego, California. He moved on to become a Systems Administrator and Instructional Technologies assistant at his alma mater at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where he also acquired his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, emphasizing in Computer Information Systems, and minoring in General Management.

Ramos was recently appointed by SCMBDC to serve as their representative for the newly formed Los Angeles County Business Federation where he serves as a Board Director.

Christian also enjoys photography, snowboarding, traveling, music, and DJing.  He currently resides in Fullerton, California.
