Certification Specialist
Southern California Minority Business Development Council, Inc.

Natalie Kitchel began her employment at SCMBDC as a student intern in 2005, while she was a full time student at Cal Poly Pomona University. Upon graduation in 2006, SCMBDC offered and Natalie accepted a part time position to serve primarily as Certification Specialist.

With the council for nearly two years, Natalie has acquired full understanding of the multi-faceted certification function and received the National Minority Supplier Development Council’s (NMSDC) ‘Certificate of Achievement’ for completion of National’s Certification Training Program in April 2007. Her fresh outlook on certification has helped streamline internal certification processes that were incorporated into our council’s certification online applications.

Natalie has also been selected to serve as back up for the events planning function.

Having worked with her father in the family’s business, Natalie brings a unique understanding of the challenges small, minority businesses face and a high commitment to assist the minority business community.

Natalie received her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Human Resources with an emphasis on Entrepreneurship. She is a candidate to obtain a degree in interior design, and is also pursuing her California real estate sales license.
