Few can argue that these are challenging times for many businesses. So it came as no surprise that a presentation on “Doing business in challenging times” would draw a large crowd at SCMBDC’s Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee and Metropolitan Water District’s 3rd Annual Business Development Reception.
On Sept. 23, Michael Synn, director of the Business Consortium Fund, shared information on how best to prepare for NMSDC’s conference and opportunity fair in Las Vegas. With the Oct. 26-29 event attracting 10,000 corporate and MBE attendees, he covered what to expect, the dos and don’ts, and how to manage your time effectively.
To augment content on its website, the council recently added new features, such as online videos and images as well as an RSS feed capability, which allows the council to syndicate its news content over the Internet.
MBEs met with representatives from a dozen Interpublic Group companies, including Dailey and Associates, GolinHarris, IW Group, McCann Erickson and Weber Shandwick/Rogers & Cowan.
